Gender-Neutral Third Person English Language Singlular Pronouns, Introduction and Usage of

I can’t believe I haven’t posted on this before. Back 12 years or so ago when I was in AP English class at BCHS we discussed the introduction of gender-neutral pronouns into the English language. he/she = hesh (pronunciation: hɛʃ) him/her = himmer (pronunciation: hɪmɚ) his/her = hisser (pronunciation: hɪzɚ) There you have subject, object, and possessive pronouns all wrapped up into one tidy little word where nobody can accuse you of being non-PC or sexist. Personally I use the masculine as a default when I do not know the gender of the person, but I believe it is worth a try, as in my post on shortening numbers, to change the pronouns for the sake of equality.

Miniatur Wunderland

There’s a model railroading convention in Denver right now and this got me thinking, “what’s the largest and most impressive model railroad I can find?” It’s called the Miniatur Wunderland and it’s in Germany, of course.

I’m totally going to go here. It looks like I could easily spend an entire day here. This is now officially on my list of places to see.

Hmm. Let me think about this for a minute. $32780 for a fully electric vehicle (Nissan LEAF) with minimal maintenance or I could spend $8220 more for a vehicle that still uses gasoline (premium, nonetheless) and has 2/5 the pure-electric range. Sorry, Chevy. I think you missed the boat again.

If I want a long-range petroleum-powered car, I’ll drive my Golf. If I want to stay in town, I’ll go with a pure EV. Simple. Get off the petro!
